A new era for S.D. tech schools starts Monday

South Dakota’s four tech schools are officially under new management. The Board of Technical Education will have its first meeting next week at Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City. The new board stems from a constitutional amendment voters passed last November, which was billed as a way to give tech schools more flexibility to respond to workforce needs in the state.
