Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will release the list of vacant seats available for CAP round 3 today. Candidates who have applied for admission to various engineering courses in the state can check the official website to check how many seats are available and at various colleges. The Maharashtra government will initiate a probe into the delay in declaration of results of the examinations conducted by the Mumbai University (MU), state education minister Vinod Tawde said on Wednesday. Maharashtra Council gives nod to form Marathi language committee

The Maharashtra Legislative Council today unanimously adopted a resolution for the formation of Joint Parliamentary Committee for development of Marathi language.  The resolution was tabled by Maharashtra Education and Culture minister Vinod Tawde and unanimously passed by the Council.  The minister said the committee was earlier formed on December 20, 2011, but it was not fully functional.  After that, the election was announced and hence the committee was dissolved, he said.  “There will be 15 members in this committee — 11 MLAs and 4 members from the Council.
